As you will be aware, Wanneroo Men’s Lacrosse Club recently amalgamated with Wanneroo Women’s Lacrosse Club and Wanneroo Modcrosse Club to form the Wanneroo Lacrosse Club Incorporated. Our constitution allows us to honour members of our club with Life Membership in recognition for ten or more years continued service to the club.
Normally, in accordance with the Club By-Laws, nominations are required to be lodged prior to June 30th each year for review by a panel put together by the Club Executive. However for this year only, the Wanneroo Lacrosse Club Executive Committee has decided to allow nominations to be made up until August 31st. This is, in part, to allow people to be nominated this year from the former Women’s club and former Modcrosse club in recognition of their member’s service to the those clubs. Members of the former Men’s Lacrosse Club can also be nominated in this round.
Please find attached a nomination form together with an extract from the By-Laws relating to Life Membership. Please submit the completed form and any supporting background material to the Secretary by 31st of August. This may be done by handing the form and supporting material to the Secretary, emailing it to
secretary@wanneroolacrosse.com or positing it to PO Box 391 Greenwood WA 6924. If posting, please allow time for delivery. Any nominations received by the Secretary after 31st August will be returned and may be resubmitted next year prior to June 30th.
Once nominations have been received, in accordance with the By-Laws, they will be passed to the Life Membership Nominations Review Panel for consideration. Please note sections 5b and 5c of the By-Laws in regards to any decision made by the Panel.
Conferring of Life Membership on a member is the highest honour able to be bestowed on people in our club and is not to be taken lightly. We therefore request that serious consideration be given to potential nominees and that nominations reflect this consideration.
